KCUSD report reveals thousands below state standards, approves $7.7 million spent in 11 days

In a routine purchase order, board members unanimously approved the $7.7 million in spending, with no remarks, which included:

  • $177,328.78 for new staff furniture

  • $12,947.98 for new office furniture at Lincoln School

  • $778.47 at Save Mart for class supplies, staff meeting supplies, and “parent engagement materials”

  • $447.88 for a new chair for the Learning Director's Office at the Adult School

School Board Members also voted to approve the 2021-22 School Accountability Report Cards which detail demographics and the percentage of students who met or exceeded the educational standard for each individual campus throughout Kings Canyon Unified School District. California State Law requires every school to publish a School Accountability Report Card every year by February 1.


At Tuesday’s school board meeting, Trustees Noel Remick, Sarah Rola, Monica Benner, Robin Tyler, Nancy Hernandez, Craig Cooper, and Clotilda Mora voted unanimously to approve the report cards and none gave any remarks on the item.
